2. Al Janoub Stadium
Iraqi-British is its architecture, Zaha Hadid together with the firm AECOM. Sailing Boat is its design inspiration, so when you sit inside the stadium you will feel like you are on a ship. It was just 22 km away from Doha located in Al Wakra city. The opening terrace and Ventilated cooling system make it ultra luxurious. 3. Ahmad Bin Ali Stadium
It is in Al Rayyan City just 15 km away from Doha. This stadium name after Ahmad Bin Ali Thani, the Emir of the country from 1960 to 1972. A joint venture of Al-Balagh and the Indian company Larsen & Toubro designed it. The highlight of this stadium is the Big LCD screen on all the outer walls for News, commercials & score update. 7 games will play in this stadium.
4. Al Thumama Stadium
A joint venture of Al Jaber Engineering of Qatar and Tekfen Construction of Turkey built it. A traditional Muslim hat “Taqiyah Hat”, worn by all the men of the Arabic Nation is the inspiration behind it. It is nearer to Hamad International Airport having a capacity of more than 40000 personnel. 8 games will play in this stadium
5. Education City Stadium
This is on the outskirts of Doha just 7 km from the City centre beside the Qatar Foundation Education City. Diamond pattern is its design inspiration. It’s nickname “Diamond In the Desert”. The colour of this stadium is amazingly change as per the movement of the sun. About 20% of stones are green in colour. 8 games will play in this stadium.
6. Khalifa International Stadium
Its other name is National stadium, name after former Emir Khalifa Bin Hamad Al Thani. This was first Built-in 1972 but again reconstructed for this world cup with the expenditure of $400M. Now the sitting capacity increased to more than 45000. This stadium also hosted major sports tournaments including the 2006 Asian Games, and the 2019 FIFA world club world cup. 7. Ras Abu Aboud Stadium 974
It is something crazy stadium totally insane, this is the first transportable & temporary stadium located nearer to Qatar port. It’s construction include 974 recycle shipping containers and host 7 matches. The Container number is 974 as it is the international dialling code of the country Qatar. After the World cup, it will be dismantle as decided.
8. Lusail Iconic Stadium
This is the biggest stadium in Qatar having a sitting capacity of more than 80000 people. It will host 10 games in this World Cup, including the Final, Semi Final & Quarter Final. The local handicraft bowl of the region is its inspiration. It is a part of the Lusail futuristic city of the Greater Development Project of the Qatar Government.
