NASA Artemis 1 moon mission was going to be launched on Monday 29th August 2022, is an uncrewed mission with an extensive test of the Space Launch System (SLS) and the Orion module.

On one of the rocket’s four engines, a bleed problem was detected. In the current configuration, the rocket will more likely take off on September 2 if it remains in a stable configuration.

The SLS was planned to take off from the Kennedy Space Centre in Florida. Among the biggest risks of space exploration is cosmic radiation, so the Orion capsule will include human-like mannequins – heads and female torsos without limbs – for measuring it.

NASA Artemis 1 moon mission aim to “land the first woman and first person of colour on the Moon”. Artemis’s mission explore the lunar surface and lay the groundwork for sending astronauts to Mars. Thus new human-era countdown begins.

NASA Artemis 1 moon mission is the mythological Greek goddess of the Moon and the twin sister of Apollo. This year is the golden jubilee year of the Apollo mission which first launched humans to the Moon. Hence, the perfect time to initialize the Artemis mission.

Artemis’s mission is to build an Artemis Base Camp on the surface and the Gateway in lunar orbit. This will explore more and conduct more science than ever before. This will have a vast expense range of $93 billion or even more.

After Artemis-I, the Artemis-II mission, crewed spaceflight for the Artemis programme, taking humans further than they’ve ever been in space and the Artemis-III mission, the first Moon landing since Apollo 17 in 1972 will be in full phase.
